Zelensky running out of support ?

Ukraine Russia update 21st January 2024

On Friday one of Zelenskys top aides Mikhail Podoliak conceded that the Western attempts to isolate Russia have not yielded any outcomes. In an interview with Germany’s BILD magazine, published on Friday, he also acknowledged challenges in mobilizing additional troops for Kiev. President Zelensky, expressing concerns in November, noted that Moscow was not facing isolation as intended, citing China and various Global South nations maintaining a neutral stance. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov echoed this sentiment, stating that the campaign to brand Russia a “rogue state” had failed.

Podoliak, in response to a question about neighbouring European countries sending troops, denied any current discussions on the matter but expressed openness to assistance, emphasizing that the focus remains on weapons and sanctions to isolate Russia, albeit with no tangible results so far.

Podoliak cautioned that European nations must either provide Ukraine with all necessary means to succeed on the battlefield now, or anticipate the conflict spreading to their soil eventually. Something that the Russian president says, Moscow has ‘no interest in … to fight with NATO countries’.

Ukraine needs more conscripts

In the face of these “disappointments,” Ukrainian authorities plan to increase efforts to clarify to citizens the reasons for frontline participation, according to a senior adviser. Concerns about a decline in both quantity and quality of troops after the unsuccessful summer counteroffensive have prompted officials in Kiev to enhance mobilization efforts. In December last year the Ukraine’s military admitted that the war effort needs an additional 500,000 soldiers. Zelenskyy urged his military to present a comprehensive plan before endorsing a request to conscript the additional soldiers for the nation’s war efforts.

To this end, Ukrainian lawmakers are drafting a new law targeting military-service loopholes as reports emerge of citizens attempting illegal exits, resulting in over 20 deaths in sub-freezing temperatures on Ukraine’s Western border recently. This, in addition to roving press gangs literally abducting citizens off the streets and sending them to the front line.

¨Give me money¨!

Since early December Zelensky has been making the rounds in the US and Europe practically begging for more money to continue his fight. A lack of financial support, a lack of ammunition and the need for an additional 500,000 troops to replace those already lost, points to a deteriorating situation for the Ukraine regime.

Zelensky sought international support at Davos last week as he attended the World Economic Forum in Switzerland. His objective was to persuade global leaders to sustain backing for Kyiv, a plea made against the backdrop of domestic political conflicts causing a delay in over $100 billion in EU and U.S. funds. Among the prominent figures he met at the forum were Jamie Dimon from JPMorgan Chase & Co., Philipp Hildebrand, Vice Chairman of BlackRock, and Stephen Schwarzman, CEO of Blackstone Group.

Ukraine’s partners’ sustained support appears to be diminishing.

The White House strategic communications coordinator, John Kirby, reiterated that Washington currently lacks additional funds for Ukrainian troops amid Kiev’s persistent request for more weapons against Russian forces. Kirby emphasized that there is currently no new package “in the works.” the American official said during a press conference on January 16th;

There isn’t another one in the works right now or being scheduled for announcement or delivery. We meant it when we said it at the time, that that was the last one for which we had replenishment authority. And there’s — there’s not another one in the in the works right now,”

EU-Ukraine aid deal is far off – Hungarian official

Hungary and the European Commission are at a considerable distance regarding a multi-billion euro aid package for Ukraine, with uncertainty about reaching a deal, as stated by Gergely Gulyas, the head of the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Office. Budapest, under the leadership of Prime Minister Viktor Orban, is currently obstructing a Brussels-proposed plan to provide €50 billion ($54 billion) in funding to Kiev over the next four years. This veto has triggered discussions among EU lawmakers on potential measures to strip Budapest of its voting rights on this issue.

Lets steal it then !

In a further development to the report we published in December, G7 eye up options to seize $300 Billion Russian Assets, during this week’s World Economic Forum meetings, in addition to his other requests, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged for a “strong” decision to allocate frozen assets in Western banks towards the defence against the Russian war and the reconstruction of Ukraine.

While Russia, though not represented at Davos, cautioned that confiscating these assets would contradict free market principles, the Kremlin issued a warning of its own, stating it would seize U.S., European, and other assets in retaliation to any such move.

The majority of the assets, primarily securities in which the Russian Central Bank had invested, are currently frozen in Euroclear, a depository based in Brussels.

Time running out

All of the efforts by the Ukraine regime must be considered in the context of what is happening on the battlefield. In recent weeks Russia has launched un-precedented air assaults as we recently reported. Significant advances have been made by Russian ground troops who yesterday entered the city of Avdiivka from the South. All along the frontlines Russian gains are being recorded and reports have come in of Ukrainian platoons refusing to fight due to lack of reinforcements and the lack of a tactical plan.

The truth is that the Ukrainian army is collapsing! All while Zelensky is getting more desperate and coming over as a “proxy” dictator.

On January 18, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov asserted that the political West is attempting to exert greater influence over the increasingly unpredictable Ukrainian leader, Volodymyr Zelensky. Lavrov suggested that Zelensky, perceived as a puppet of the US-led power pole, is striving to consolidate his control by suppressing dissent, even going so far as to consider cancelling this year’s presidential election. Zelensky’s actions, deemed increasingly erratic, have become a source of inconvenience for the United States, leading to demands for “more flexibility” from him, according to Lavrov. He added that the recent rhetoric from Zelensky’s office reflects the leader’s desire, along with his associates, to retain power to the fullest extent possible.

Just a matter of time !

In Davos Zelensky has pushed for Peace talks. This typically involves both sides participating, especially when initiated by the party facing challenges. However, there appears to be a sense of stupidity as he wishes to exclude Russia, a move that goes against the traditional principles of inclusive negotiations.

Russia calls Ukraine peace meetings ‘pointless’, says plan can’t succeed

A commentary on the Russian Foreign Ministry’s website noted that the Davos meetings had laid bare differences among participants and failed to garner additional support for the proposed initiatives.

All such meetings … including the Davos gathering and those to follow it, are pointless and harmful for settling the Ukrainian crisis.”

Conclusion

At Flat Out News we believe that with waning support and lack of a clear plan to gain any type of battlefield success, massive casualty rates, depleted ammunition and weapon systems and Russian advances, it is clear and the writing is on the wall. Its just a matter of time, and at that time, Ukraine will have no other option than to surrender unconditionally accepting all of Russia terms which will include;

  1. Complete surrender of Ukraine.
  2. Surrender of all military equipment.
  3. Russian territorial control extending from Kharkiv to Odessa, encompassing the entire Black Sea coast.
  4. Stipulation that Western Ukraine cannot join NATO and must refrain from receiving any military aid.
  5. Indifference to the governing authority in Western Ukraine and has openly extended an offer to Poland.

Zelensky is already on borrowed time;
